The Crocodile 8 is a 'tough' multi-terrain eight mile race on road, grass and mud.

The race's name heralds from the 'Crocodile Wood', the local nickname for Tillington's beautiful Badnage wood via which the greater part of the race is run. (Badnage Wood looks from a distance uncannily like the body of a crocodile.)
